Otoplasty (Ear)

The external ear is usually well adapted to the side of the head. At times, there is a change in the direction or size of the external ear and it can look like a deviation from balanced facial appearance. This is usually caused by developmental issues in the cartilage of the ear. Minimal such discrepancies go unnoticed not inviting attention. Moderate to severe changes in the ear shape can be a concern towards the facial appearance. The external ear can be reshaped by surgeries known as Otoplasty.
